Affiliate Disclosure
Kill Switch Kenny earns a commission if you purchase a subscription through links on our site. This comes at no extra cost to you. Our commercial relationships never influence our product rankings, scoring, or editorial independence.
How we make money
Kill Switch Kenny operates as an independent VPN comparison and review service. To keep our research free and accessible to everyone, we maintain commercial partnerships with several of the virtual private network providers we review.
When you click on our outbound links to visit a vendor and complete a purchase, we receive an affiliate commission from that provider. This financial model allows us to fund our testing infrastructure, maintain an expert research team, and publish detailed software analysis without placing our content behind a paywall.
What does not change
Commercial partnerships never dictate our editorial verdicts. Our commitment to independence means:
- Rankings and scores are determined strictly by performance metrics, security audits, and hands-on testing.
- We frequently recommend services that offer zero affiliate commission if our testing proves they are the superior choice for the user.
- Criticism, technical flaws, and privacy concerns are documented transparently, regardless of whether a vendor is an active partner.
Sponsored content policy
All content published on Kill Switch Kenny reflects our genuine editorial evaluations. We do not accept paid placements, sponsored reviews, or financial compensation in exchange for positive scores. Any commercial arrangement that impacts content visibility or special positioning is explicitly and clearly labelled as sponsored.
How rankings are made
Our scoring system relies on repeatable benchmarks, speed evaluations, jurisdiction analysis, and privacy policy audits. To understand the exact testing parameters, data collection methods, and laboratory procedures we use, please see our How We Test page.
Your choices
You are never obligated to use our referral links. If you prefer not to support our affiliate model, you can open a new browser window, navigate directly to the vendor’s official website, and complete your purchase independently. The price you pay and the product features remain identical either way.
